So, I came to the US to improve my English because I want to start to my medical course and in my country English is required for this career, and I saw in the US a great opportunity to achieve this goal and to be in touch with a new culture, meeting a lot of people, and visiting new places.—-Camila Couto, June 2020

Hello,

I’m Tania and I’m a future college student. I was born in Ukraine but 6 years ago I moved to Italy where I started to learn more in depth English, Italian, Spanish and German... At that point of my life I wanted to have a new experience and learn English in the speaking country so I became an au pair in New York. After this I look at my life differently and I like it. Now I speak English quite well and I’m preparing for the college of translators and interpreters. I want to say thanks to my teacher Joshua for helping me.

My name is Laura and I am from Spain. Currently,  I am living in Chicago as an Au Pair and to improve my English I took Joshua’s English classes. Because of COVID-19 I didn’t think I could find Zoom classes  that would be dynamic, but Joshua did it! He motivated me a lot during his classes, and I am so grateful to have had him as a  teacher. I couldn’t have  found a better English class during this pandemic time!

Learning a new language is not just about learning grammar and vocabulary. When you learn a new language, you learn a new culture, a new way of thinking. A new way of seeing the world. New paths open in front of you.
